Spaulding Square is one of 33 HPOZ's (Historical Preservation Overlays Zones - of which Spaulding Square was the third zone to be approved) created by a City of Los Angeles ordinance to allow buildings and structures from a similar time period to keep their original design features. By doing so, Spaulding Square attracts greater investment and community pride. Spaulding Square has become a very popular place to live and property values have increased, in part, due to our HPOZ designation and our continuing efforts to preserve and revitalize our neighborhood.
Spaulding Square's current City of Los Angeles HPOZ Office of Historic Resources liaison is Amanda Kainer who can be contacted at (213) 473-9984 or Amanda.Kainer@lacity.org to discuss your projects.
We look forward to assisting you with your design projects. We have placed some helpful links relating to our Spaulding Square HPOZ below. Feel free to contact Amanda Kainer with any questions you may have or to discuss your new projects.
